Holding onto your vision even when you’re afraid (or it’s scary)

by Chatsworth Consulting Group | Sep 28, 2021 | Thoughtful Leadership

“When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.” ~Audre Lorde Fear. I’ve heard it defined as False Evidence Appearing Real, which often helps me breathe and ease...

How to get around the lies that block your leadership – and life

by Lisa Kohn | Aug 19, 2021 | Thoughtful Leadership

The other day I was asked what my “sweet spot” was in coaching. What I’m really known for and what I really love to do. (Luckily, I think they’re the same thing.) As more and more people know, I had a childhood that I had to, in many ways, survive. I no longer keep my...

Two essential, powerful – but contradictory – leadership skills

Two essential, powerful – but contradictory – leadership skills

by Lisa Kohn | Nov 7, 2019 | Thoughtful Leadership

I was interviewed on The Speaking Show with David Newman last week. (We’ll let you know when the podcast goes live!) He ended the interview with a challenging question – as is his job as an interviewer. He asked, “What is the number one, most important skill and/or...
If it’s not fun, stop doing it

If it’s not fun, stop doing it

by Chatsworth Consulting Group | Jul 9, 2019 | Thoughtful Leadership

We learned to say “no” at a very young age. We need to learn to say it again. Not always, not every time, not to everyone – but to use it in a way that builds our leadership, our Thoughtfulness, and our success. https://bit.ly/40XpOBx #thoughtfulleaders #leadership

“No” is useful because it opens us up to other possibilities. To the opportunity for “yes.” Because saying “no” helps you focus on the important things, and finding your “yes” helps you know which important thing you’re choosing by saying “no.” https://bit.ly/40XpOBx
