“The successful warrior is the average man, with laser-like focus.”~Bruce Lee
The only thing I would add to this quote – and it’s no surprise – is that the successful warrior is the average person. Other than that, I think Bruce Lee got it right.
We tend to think that the ones who win the battles, the ones who succeed, are special or different. That there’s something in their makeup that makes them distinctive. That makes them stand out.
But the reality as I’ve seen it, in the hundreds of leaders I’ve been privileged to support, is that it is the average person, but it’s the average person who is paying attention, who is single-minded and focused on their goal.
If we can develop laser-like focus, if we can point ourselves towards our objective and stay on it – and on it, and on it – we can successfully win.
Even if we’re average.
How do you stay focused on your goals?
