“Dance as if no one were watching. Sing as if no one were listening. And live each day as if it were your last.”
~Irish Proverb

Life is too short not to enjoy it. So often we are caught up in what needs to get done or what people will think of us. It’s not worth it. The truth is that any day on this earth might be your last – so why not make the most of each day that’s been gifted to you?

When we live our life with gusto – all the gusto that’s within us – life becomes even more of a wonderful ride. When we dance, sing, play, laugh, enjoy, and work with all our being invested in each moment, we not only have a better day and a better life, we actually do our life’s work better – with more inspiration, innovation, enjoyment, passion, and even more results!

There are often “voices” in our head that hold us back. “People will laugh.” “I’ll embarrass myself.” “I don’t have time.” “There are other more important things to do.” “I’m not good at singing, dancing, whatever.” “I should stick to other things.” The truth is, anything that we love is worth doing, and as Joachim DePosada says, “Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly.” It is possible to contradict those voices, to thank them for sharing, and to move on and embrace each moment of each day in a way that brings laughter and joy to your life and the lives of others around you. To dance, to sing, to live each day as if it were your last, and to extract as much pleasure, achievement, and connection from your life as possible.

Bring more gusto into at least one moment of your life today – and see how you feel. Choose one area of your life, or even one moment in time, and commit to living that moment and/or approaching that area full-out this week. Enjoy it.

What is one thing you would love to do that you are not doing? How can you do that now to bring more life to your life? What holds you back?
